Mom Got Sick
Yup. With the same cold I had. Now that's it's all gone, she got it. So yeah, she's lying in bed, coughing up a lung, giving birth to an Alien and what not. So it'll be quite quiet around here now.

Our cat has a new collar. Yay! It's all tiger striped and he's like "I'm the tough guy" now. But he won't wear it because he's hiding under the bed in fear of the yard dudes. Maybe because I kinda left him outside while they were using the heavy machinery and he was nearly chopped to pieces...but...yeah...

Went up to New College in Sarasota yesterday. Slept most of the ride up and so forth. It's a nice campus, nice school, excels in academics, but my one complaint is: It's a bunch of hippies. I'm not even joking. This is the campus for you if you didn't want to leave the 60's and 70's, want to smoke more pot, and be a vegan. I don't want to do those things and I love my steaks. The cafe we ate at, which is on campus and is student-run, is all veggie food. My burrito didn't have a shred of meat in it. But it was good.

Though I was like, "Mom, there's no beef in this thing. And the tortilla isn't made of flour. Its' got spinach and shit on it."

"I know, dear. I guess they want to be self-conscious here about what they eat. "

"It's a bunch of veggie food!"

"Those are hippies for you, Liz. Want me to tell you about it?"

"No thanks, Mom."

And so we left, got a t-shirt, went on a tour with a hot guide and then went home.

Yup. It was a boring, hot, and exciting day all at once. The view is nice there, though.

Oh, and is anyone a Miyavi fan? I suddenly discovered him while on youtube, because shit happens there, and I'm like "HOLY CRAP, HE PLAYS LIKE FREAKING AWESOME! And he's hot." Well, I think he's hot. I personally do. And he's really good at the guitar. So, anyone else out there a fan?

Now I have to make sure my dog doesn't eat my Cheerios. He suddenly thinks he can just eat my food. Pft. As if.

Me, too. I don't like her moping around and feeling awful.

New College used to be a USF campus when they had no cash. I learned that yesterday! And my other option is in Orlando. Go figure, it's the same amount of time to get from where I live to either place.

We have vegan places here, and I've never eaten at them. But I've heard good things.

It does sux. Well, the girls are always the Queens. Duh. Ever seen an Alien flick. We put a bandage on her chest so that it stops bleeding. I guess we can raise it so that if a Predator comes, we can kill it.

Yeah, Printer was in that mood about an hour ago.

Well, that's good. But I like meat, too. So...

About what? Me? *gasp* I was sick for most of the week and then had lots of shit to do, so meh. My absence has been there for a reason.
