Does Anyone on my Flist Watch Bleach?
Or watched Outlaw Star?

If so, Uncle Sam wants you to comment here so we can fangirl like no tomorrow and start talking about some anime shit. I feel so alone with this. Only my friend (INSERT NAME) and I can like geek over our Bleach-ness, but he doesn't watch/watched Outlaw Star. :( Makes me sad. I recommend you watch those now if you don't watch them. ANIME ARE NOT CARTOONS. Just putting that out there.

And because I've been watching some anime...JPop won't leave me alone. It's like on my iTunes now and I don't want it to be there, but it's like heroin and I can't put it down. Sometimes, I find myself in like a Bleach withdrawal and I start listening to one of the opening theme songs they got going on. Hell, I'm listening to the Outlaw Star soundtrack now.

I'm like on crack or something.

I got my dress today for band. We need to wear them for the evaluation we have on Friday because we need to look spiffy now. Guys wear pants, suit, black tie, yadda yadda and we wear these cute black dresses (as cute as a concert dress can be) and then do our thing. I'm looking forward to the part where they show us the offers on pictures and prices and they have this giant example of a rippable form that's like got velcro and shit on it. And we're like "RIP IT! RIP IT!" and he rips the velcro and that just makes my year. The sound of that and the man's roll of his eyes make me proud to be a band nerd. Without that at marching band evaluation and concert evaluation, I don't know what I'd do. And the best part is...sometimes they do it twice!

God, I'm a loser.

I love anime, and Bleach looked pretty awesome about 5 years ago in Shonen Jump, but I haven't looked at it since then because I'm lazy!weird, and I spent my summer watching Avatar, lol. Maybe I should get into it...

Although no one likes the anime I watch... ever heard of one called Tokko? It's pretty awesome.

Youtubes has some good fansubs. You want the subs, not dubs, TRUST ME. Unless you just can't stand subtitles, the Japanese voices are amazing, and the translations are a lot better.

Oh, I turned those off. I can't keep up with 1000000 e-mails coming in anymore. We do tend to ramble...a bit...

I'll look into it. Most dubs are poop. But there are some good ones. Like Outlaw Star, totally believable, great dubbing, excellent plot/story/characters, same for Bebop. Bleach is okay dubbed. I don't mind it as much as others. But my general rule of thumb is if it's an anime that looks good, it's probably got a good dubbing, if it looks a bit cheesy, time for the Japanese. But I usually multitask whenever I do anything so the dubbing is easier for me when I photoshop and watch stuff on youtube.

Nothing to say, apart from yay for Lost being on tonight! I hear the Desmond episode is really good. And yeah, I love that Willy Wonka movie. But I thought the new one sucked, and that's coming from a Johnny Depp fan.

Outlaw Star's ending themes are made of WIN. Though the series was a bit confusing for me, but then again, I haven't watched it in years.

And Bleach bores me, it suffers from the Dragonball Z syndrome of dragging shit out far from where it's needed.

Orihime FTW though.

You should watch it again with a fresh eye. You'll get it, I'm sure. I used to watch it on Toonami when Toonami was good.

I think I really like it because I've recently discovered it and I can't get enough of it. Me thinks that's it.

I love her! She's so hilarious. I'm a big Rukia fan, too. And who doesn't like Ichigo? *waits for the uproar*

Maybe it's because I've been watching anime for way too long but after a while you can start spotting typical styles of anime and it's annoying to me.

And I like Rukia & Ichigo too. Stay away from the shippers though, they're insane. -_-

Outlaw Star! Crap, I watched that tons when I was younger and would stay up until like 3 AM in the Summer watching Adult Swim!

I love that show more than life. There's just no good caps of it around.

Yeah! So cool. Gene Starwind = sex.

It's about this man, Gene Starwind, who's an outlaw. He works with his partner, Jim Hawking, at a repair kind of "fix it up" shop. He gets hired by this Rachael chick, but she's a fraud and is really the oultlaw Hot Ice Hilda. They find Melfina, the chick that operates the ship as the navigator, in a box. The run toward the asteroid where the XGP is and steal it, but Hilda is killed in the process. So, Gene now has the XGP, which he calls the Outlaw Star (kick ass name) and Melfina. They meet Suzuka (the assassin) and Aisha (the Ctarl-Ctarl who turns into a wolf/tiger thing) along the way. Gene promises to find all there is about Melfina and stuff. Then they do some stuff, funny episodes ensue, and then they enter a space race, meet the McDougal brothers who had killed Hilda/Gene's Dad when he was younger, and find the Galactic Leyline, where Melfina takes them because she's programmed to. To sum it quickly, they fight a lot to get in the Leyline, then they land, get transported inside, Mel is taken, they split up to find her, Harry is killed and tells her he loves Mel, Gene rescues Mel, kisses her, they love each other and I swoon because I love them together, and they live happily ever after as people in debt can live.

I'm just mad when people don't watch it because "Oh, it's cartoons? It's not that deep or interesting." Makes me mad.

My friend Colton loves anime, and he's learned some Japanese from watching it, too. I make fun of him all the time. :P But I won't make fun of you, no, not at all, precious. :D Although the fact that he also plays World of Warcraft might play a part...

I used to watch Sailor Moon! Still do sometimes, actually. And this other show of a girl who was this hardcore volleyball player. Yeah. Awesome. :D
